The spinoff film has begun production in Prague
Keanu Reeves will officially return as John Wick in the hit action franchise’s spin-off movie, Ballerina. The movie, which stars Ana de Armas in the lead, has kicked off production in Prague. The exciting news comes after Ian McShane was announced to return as Winston, the manager of The Continental Hotel. We are yet to see if John Wick will be a major part of the movie or a cameo.
About John Wick and Ballerina
John Wick debuted in 2014 and quickly became one of the best action films ever made. The Chad Stahelski-directorial grew with each sequel, and now the highly-anticipated fourth movie is ready to come out. Aside from Ballerina, the franchise will also be making a prequel series called The Continental, which will tell the story of the titular hotel and the early years of Winston’s life. With the franchise expanding, fans are speculating about the timeline for Ballerina. With Wick appearing, it can mean that the movie takes place early on in his career or maybe in the present timeline.
Stahelski is not on the director’s chair this time but will be part of the project. Ballerina will be directed by Len Wiseman, known for Die Hard 4 and Underworld.
