Reports started coming in after the model was spotted with a diamond ring
One Direction singer Liam Payne is engaged to his girlfriend Maya Henry. Their respective reps confirmed to E! News that the 26-year-old singer and 20-year-old model are ready to tie the note. This came after Maya was spotted with a beautiful diamond ring. They were clicked recently at London’s Novikov restaurant on Thursday, August 27.

When did they start dating?
It’s been over two years since they first sparked romance rumours, but the couple didn’t make any official declarations till September 2019. That was the time when they were photographed holding hands at London’s Heathrow Airport. A few days after this, they made their relationship official through a sweet post on Instagram.

While celebrating the release of his song “Stack It Up,” Payne also shared a photo of Henry and gave a shout out to her saying, “for always keeping the biggest smile on my face through all the stress and making me realise how perfect my life really is.”

Before meeting Henry, Liam had been in a long-term relationship with singer Cheryl Cole. They had a son Bear in 2017, but broke up in July 2018. Liam confirmed the news on twitter and said that they still have a lot of love for each other as a family, and that they will be co-parenting Bear.

And they had been doing a great job ever since. Cheryl told The Telegraph in 2019 that Liam is a great dad, and that he is much softer than she is. “When you have a baby, you are not consumed with just thinking about yourself. It’s your responsibility to keep things settled and happy, so that you make the best of everything,” she said.
