DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 7 Finale Bids Farewell to Longtime Cast Member

Nick Zano is leaving the show this time

The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow has wrapped up its 7th season, and has now bid goodbye to one more cast member. Arrowverse shows have a penchant for constantly changing and bringing in new characters. In season 5, Brandon Routh, who played Ray Palmer/The Atom since Arrow left. Next up, Dominic Purcell (Heatwave/Mick Rory) left the show. The latest to leave the show is Nick Zano, who played Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel.

Zano joined the series in season 2. In season 7, the gang travels back in time to World War I era. Nate got exposed to mustard gas and ended up losing his powers. However, Nate got his good ending, as he now gets to live in the Air Totem with the original version of Zari (Tala Ashe).

One interesting feature of the Arrowverse is that the actors always have room to return. One such example is Routh’s return as the Atom in the latest season of The Flash. Zano can return anytime in the future in guest roles. The semi-rotating cast gives a fresh feel to Legends of Tomorrow. But the finale was emotional all the same.

Zano can return, if an 8th season is made. But is season 8 in the works? For now, Legends of Tomorrow season 8 has not been greenlit yet. It is true that we are close to the end, but season 7 views have been higher than earlier. The only remaining original cast member is Caity Lotz’s Sara Lance. Besides, Donald Faison’s character was revealed to be Booster Gold, the time travelling superhero. This gives the show a whole new direction to go into, with more new characters.
