Charlie Cox Talks Daredevil; Says He Knows What’s Coming for the Character

The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen is back

After his surprise cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Charlie Cox has finally started talking about his character Daredevil.

Undoubtedly one of the best comic book castings, Charlie Cox embodied the Man With Fear, and played the blind lawyer and his vigilante alter ego to perfection. He starred in the show’s three seasons and The Defenders, all available on Netflix. Now, let’s see what lies ahead.

Charlie Cox’s interview

Daredevil/ Matt Murdock appeared as Peter Parker’s lawyer on Spider-Man: No Way Home. Matt displays his extraordinary skills when he catches a brick flung from outside. Peter and the others were surprised, but Matt dismisses it, and says he’s “a very good lawyer.”

Around the same time, Daredevil’s primary villain Wilson Fisk/Kingpin made his MCU entry with Hawkeye. They are now part of a bigger universe, and will show some change in powers.

In an interview with Supernova, the 39-year-old English actor expressed how much the character means to him. Cox shared that he loved every single minute of his time on the show. To be asked to return, and now be part of a much bigger universe sounded absolutely thrilling to him. As we know, the Netflix shows were loosely connected to the MCU, but discussed more on street-level crime without the stake of the world added to the mix.

Charlie didn’t shy away from speaking his mind. He hopes to play the character for “many, many years.” He joked that he wants to play until people tell him that he’s too old for the role. On what he wants in the character’s next chapter, Cox said he wants to interact with other MCU characters. Crossovers are one of the strongest points of the MCU.

We wish Charlie Cox a bright future in the MCU!
