After hinting it throughout the year, it has finally happened!
Pop star Ariana Grande announced that she has gotten engaged to luxury real estate agent Dalton Gomez on Sunday, with a photo of the couple and of her diamond and pearl engagement ring. She captioned the pic, “Forever n then some.”
Grande had been giving subtle hints of her relationship and his pictures have made their way in her posts. The media and her fans started talking about Gomez when he appeared in Grande’s collaboration music video with Justin Bieber called “Stuck With U,” which was released in May.
Grande before Gomez
Gomez is a real estate agent at the Aaron Kirman group in Lose Angeles, and was born and raised in Southern California, according to his agency’s website. He had been working in luxury real estate for five years, and had been overseeing sales of homes like the late architect Pierre Koenig’s Case Study No. 21 in Los Angeles, which was also the primary set of the mystery series Charmed (1998-2006).
Grande’s previous partners included rapper Mac Miller and comedian Pete Davidson. Miller died in 2018 following an accidental overdose at the age of 26. He and Grande collaborated for her hit, “The Way” in 2013. At the time of his death, Grande had been dating Pete Davidson. Shortly after that, she called off the engagement and the couple went their separate ways. Davidson admitted that their relationship was affected by Miller’s death.
Grande’s entry to the world of entertainment was through the Nickelodeon show Victorious, where she played Cat Valentine. The show aired from 2010 to 2013, around the same time she debuted in music. Her music gave her international stardom and fast forward to 2020, her song “Positions” came at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200.
