Lelouch is highly intelligent, and has a calm, sophisticated, stoic, and arrogant personality. He carries himself as an easygoing and sociable personality while at school, and it wasn’t until he wore a mask and became Zero after getting the Geass power that he started showing his true colours. He got the power of the Geass from a witch known as C.C, with which he can instill the  the power of absolute obedience on to anyone he makes direct eye contact with.

He starts the vigilante life to avenge his mother’s death and to make life for his crippled younger sister Nunnally, but soon decides to shift his goal towards bettering the whole world. He was shown to be cold and ruthless in battle, and has caused numerous civilian casualties by destroying Tokyo and other small areas. He is a character that does whatever it takes to carry out his goal, but still has trouble putting the people close to him in harm’s way. After all, they were the ones who helped him realise that the reason for the rebellion was not for the sake of Nunnally, but for the whole world.
