The anime’s poster boy gets his poster
Jujutsu Kaisen quickly became one of the most popular Shonen animes since its release in October 2020. Studio MAPPA also did the anime justice by giving us some stellar visuals. Before we wait for season 2 to the hit the mini screens, we have a movie coming up.
Titled Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the story is a prequel, and hence takes place before Yuji Itadori and his team join as Jujutsu sorcerers. MAPPA has now released the first look of one of its main protagonists – Gojo Satoru.
The poster
The picture shown above is the first look of the currently overpowered sorceror. He looks more or less similar to what he currently looks like, except for his head gear, and maybe his height. We are used to seeing Satoru cover both his eyes with a black blindfold-like covering. In this however, he’s using a white blindfold and only covered his right eye. In fact, it looks more like a bandage than a blindfold.
We all got to admire his eyes whenever he took his blindfold off, but we are not aware why it looks the way it does. But it is related to his Cursed Technique. So is Gojo covering his eyes due to his Cursed Technique awakening, or because of some injury? We might get to see that in the movie. What we do know is Gojo won’t be a main character in the story. The protagonist is Yuta Okkotsu, someone manga fans already know and anime fans are getting brief hints about. The movie will flesh him out before he appears in future seasons.
Movie release date
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is all set to release on December 24 in Japan. However, there is no word about its arrival in other countries. We can await some announcement in the coming months.
