Netflix announced the show’s second season on June 12, 2018 and it was expected to arrive in March this year, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s release date has been pushed. We are waiting for Netflix to make an official announcement.

Is it a good watch?

B: The Beginning received positive reviews and is definitely worth the watch. The story takes place in a fictional archipelagic nation called Cremona and is focused on a certain group of people whose lives were affected when a serial killer goes on a killing spree in the city. And judging from the world, we can see that the story is futuristic.

There are two main characters in the show. One is Keith Flick, a member of the country’s Royal Investigation Society (RIS), and is brought to investigate the above mentioned serial killer, who is termed as Killer B. The second one is Koku, an ordinary boy at first glance but is actually an alien who is in search of his missing companion. Their worlds collide and soon they are in pursuit of the killer, but stumbles across a secret organization that has been looking to resurrect gods, and learns about a prophecy that talks about the arrival of an entity called the “Black King”.

The show is a good mix of crime drama and sci-fi, and pays attention to both it’s protagonists. Definitely an anime worth checking out.
