Get ready to see dinosaurs on the big screen next year
Jurassic Park has been etched into Hollywood history as one of the finest movies ever made and had three parts, the last which released in 2001. Afterward, the next segment came 14 years later, in 2015.
Director Steven Spielberg had tried over the years to have a reboot made through the years, but it took this long for it to finally come out. Jurassic World had a positive response by both critics and fans, and the movie was well worth the wait, with many classic elements present as well as modern technology to show how the times have progressed. The success of the first movie greenlit the production of the second, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
This movie, however, did not live up to the first part’s hype. But it still earned enormous revenue at the box office, which was $1.3 billion worldwide and guaranteed the 3rd installment.
Jurassic World 3 details
Spielberg, who will continue to be part of the movie as a producer, confirmed that the third part would be directed by Colin Trevorrow, who was the director of the first Jurassic World. The third movie, which has been titled Jurassic World Dominion, has been confirmed in February 2020.
The current release date of the movie is set on June 11, 2021. While the world has been brought to a standstill due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, we cannot confirm if the dates are going to be pushed back, but that could very well happen.
The screenplay will be written by Emily Carmichael, who has been part of Pacific Rim: Uprising. Director Trevorrow has described the movie as a “celebration of everything that has existed in the franchise up until now.”
