Fans can’t keep calm as The Friend’s cast is getting together for an exclusive special episode on HBO Max.
Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are going to return to the original “Friends” soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank to in fact honour the critically acclaimed and loved TV series, which ended in 2004.
According to sources the six gems will be awarded at least $2.5 million each for being a part of the special episode.
The reunion has been hotly anticipated by the fans of this show, with conjecture about the HBO Max exceptional spiraling ever since last fall, it was just weeks after the WarnerMedia-created SVOD platform grabbed the streaming rights of the show from Netflix in a major deal with Warner Bros. Television. All 10 seasons of the comedy vanished from Netflix around the end of 2019, meaning that “Friends” has thus far not been available to stream in the United States, not until HBO Max finally launches in May 2020.
The special, along with all the 10 seasons of Friends is going to be available upon the streaming service’s launch. Although Friends aired its season’s finale over 15 years ago Surveys found out that “Friends” was one of Netflix’s most-watched shows, along with Breaking Bad and House of Cards. And as previously said, Warner Bros. According to Home Entertainment the sales of physical copies and digital versions of “Friends” have tripled ever since news broke that it would be going off Netflix.

The directing chair for the special episode has been given to Ben Winston. He will also be executive producing along with “Friends” executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane. Warner Bros. Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc, Perry, and Schwimmer are also joining hands to produce the special episode. James Longman and Emma Conway all set as co-executive producers.
