Brace yourselves, the Third Season of ‘Chi’ is Arriving with a Bang in July 2020!

The Chi is an American drama series created by Lena Waithe about life in a neighbourhood on the South Side of Chicago. The first season premiered on Showtime on January 7, 2018, followed by the second season which was premiered on April 7 2019.

On April 30 2019, Showtime made an announcement regarding the renewal of the show for a third season. The third season of the show is all set to release on July 5 2020. It was well acclaimed by the audience and the critics with an IMDb rating of 7.5/10 and a rating of 87% by Rotten tomatoes.

In the third season of the American dreams we’ll get to watch Jacob Latimore as Emmett Washington, Yolanda Ross as Jada Washington, Shamon Brown Jr. as Stanley “Papa” Jackson), Alex Hibbert as Kevin Williams, Common as Seema, Michael V. Epps as Jake Taylor, Burgundy Baker as Kiesha Williams and many more.

As seen in the trailer, Otis will run the political office. Emmet and Tiffany will get back together with their son, and Brandon will be killed and one thing that’s still not clear is whether Tiffany is pregnant or will she keep the baby. 

According to Showtime an average day in Chicago’s Southside, the kids are seen prepping for schools as their parents head off to work, trying to make a living and the elders keeping an eye on things from front porches, But the real danger threatens daily to squelch dreams with even the simplest sessions having a life or death consequences. The Chi is a timely coming-of-age drama series which focuses on a group of residents who get linked by coincidence but are bonded by the need for connection and redemption.
