The famous singer and actress Demi Lovato was born on August 20, 1992, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Demi Lovato’s full name is Demetria Devonne Lovato. Although she was born in Albuquerque, she was raised in Dallas, Texas.
Her mother, Dianna Lovato, was a music recording artist and a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader. She was bullied at school, and so after her seventh grade, she was homeschooled. In 2009, she received her high school diploma, through homeschooling, that too a year before the anticipated graduation date.
Demi is popular for her show Sonny with a chance on Disney channel. The show was started in 2009, with sixteen episodes in the first season.
Demi’s half-sister Madison De La Garza is also popular for acting in Desperate House Wives as the daughter of Eva Longoria. She has a younger sister Dallas Lovato. Demi is 5′ 3½” (1.61m) tall. She is an expert in playing piano and guitar.

Lovato’s childhood was not that easy!!
Demi started singing at a very young age. The first song sang by her was “My Heart will Go On” by Celene Dion at a kindergarten talent show. She was awarded the Mini Miss Texas Award in 2000- 2001. She is a fan of heavy metal music. The first concert she went to watch was by Carlos Santana.
Demi started her acting at the age of seven, and she is very close to Selena Gomez. As a teen, she had to suffer a lot of bullying while touring with the Jonas brothers, and she developed eating disorders and emotional problems.
In 2011, she was reported with a bipolar disorder due to years of struggling with bulimia, drug addiction, and cutting. She opened up about that and spoke about mental health.
In 2012, she became the new ambassador of Secret’s Mean Stinks campaign, which encourages girls to gang up for good to end bullying in schools. The same year she also won the People’s Choice Award for the Favourite pop artist.
She has also been vocal on body image issues and has been an inspiration to many.
