Netflix’s and BBC’s hot new show Dracula told the tale of Bram Stoker’s vampire. It took several details from the novel and skipped some parts, adjusting it for the present. The creators behind it are Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss. The show is fun to watch for the relationship between Claes Bang’s Dracula and Dolly Wells’s clever nun Agatha Van Helsing.
Season two release date?
So now after the three episodes of the first season, when will the second season of Dracula come? Will it even come or not? And is the climactic ending a standstill for the show?
Right now there is no confirmation of a second season. The series only premiered last month on Netflix and BBC. Both of the networks will take some time to reach on a conclusion after taking account of the show’s ratings and popularity.
If a new season is announced, it will take a long time for it to hit the screens. Season one was announced in June 2017 so considering that the next season can be expected in one or two years.
What was the ending of season one?
Season one ended with the demise of our two favourite characters- Count Dracula and Sister Agatha Van Helsing. After being perplexed about Count Dracula’s vampiric abilities, Sister Agatha figures out Dracula’s weakness which is low self-esteem. He was the only one to not die a heroic death.
Then Sister Agatha compels him to come into the sunlight which doesn’t harm him. Dracula then drinks the blood of the dying nun which would eventually kill him too. Both are dying together apparently as the screen turns to black.
Since characters of vampires are known to be resurrected there is a chance of our beloved Dracula to come back to life. Let’s be optimistic about its future and hope BBC and Netflix take a decision in favour of the masses.
