Four accused in the recent case of rape and murder of Hyderabad women veterinarians were reportedly killed in an exchange of fire by the Telangana Police on Friday.
As indicated by police sources, the trading of fire occurred between 5.45 am to 6.15 a.m. close to the Chatanpally underpass, where the singed body of the vet was found. The denounced attempted to escape when they were taken to Chatanpally to re-creation the crime scene according to the sources.
The four accused who were killed in an encounter were Md Arif, who was 26 years old, the lorry driver and Jolla Naveen, Jolla Shiva, and Ch Chennakeshavulu, all who of were 20 years of age.
The four charged were shot dead on NH-44 close to Hyderabad – a similar expressway where the burned body of the 26-year-old victim was found. The encounter was carried out by Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar.
The accused supposedly tossed stones at police officers while they were accompanying them, then they snatched the weapons from the police and began shooting.
Two police officers were harmed and are being treated at a private clinic in Hyderabad.
The encounter occurred scarcely inside 400 meters, where the body of Disha was found.
