Neil Young is returning with his unreleased Homegrown album
Legendary singer Neil Young gave happy news to his fans by announcing his release of the album which he recorded in 1975 named Homegrown, which could not be released due to some reason at that time, will now release in 2020.
Young excited for the album release
Young shared this news on his website, Neil Young Archives He said that this album will be their first release of 2020. He also added that Homegrown is very personal to him and reveling that album at this time revives nostalgia.
“Homegrown will be our first release in 2020.” Said, Young. “A record that has been hidden for decades. Too personal and reveling to expose in the freshness of those times.”
Young, 74 shared this news with an attached video, featuring John Hanon, his longtime producer, who is supporting Young in his upcoming album.
Young wrote that J. Hanon is working with him on Homegrown. Hanon was seen working on the analog chain. He added that this is how music was made at that time.
Young when decided to release the album the naysayer said that the album could not be released as the records were too damaged and they have to go digital.
But Young ditched the digital idea and “restored the analog masters of Homegrown”.
