On the basis of suspicion, a 22-year-old man was arrested by the police after they have found a 10-month-old baby’s body.
The 10-month-old baby girl was found at the Crompton Street at a property unresponsive in Farnworth around 5:30 PM on Friday.
Immediately, the baby girl was taken to a hospital but the baby died shortly afterward. The reason for her death was still not known and her postmortem still has to be carried out and is scheduled.
The 22-year-old man is currently being held in custody and still has to be questioned about the chain of events.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Wilkinson belonging to the Greater Manchester Police’s unit of Major Incident Team said that he first wants to extend his condolences to the family members of the little girl and Detective Stuart Wilkinson revealed that the family members are currently being supported at this difficult time by a team of specially trained officers.
Detective Chief Stuart Wilkinson said that the investigation team is very much determined to figure out why and how the baby girl died and revealed that they have arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of murder and that he will be questioned later that day.
