Traditions are always kept alive, and the old saying that some traditions never die is true in literally all of the cases. After making sure that it has kept New York city weird, the infamous “Village Halloween Parade” is one of those things that make the city even weirder.
The “Village Halloween Parade” is a nighttime parade in New York City during Halloween and is now going to return to the sixth avenue on 31st October, and this parade is one of the highly-anticipated celebrations of all the spooky things included.
This year is a theme very much suiting the festival, “Wild Things!” and this is a call for the exploration of the natural world by taking a hard lean away from the modern civilization. This has a lot of things, excluding tails, straw, nails, antlers, fur, and leaves.
Just like every year, there are going to be whimsical dancers, giant puppets in people’s hands, and thousands of New Yorkers sporting their best ever wackiest creations.
The “Village Halloween Parade” happens in the Greenwich Village, and the marching in the parade starts at 7 PM and is wrapped up around 10:30 PM.
Only those in Halloween costumes can have the opportunity to participate and march in the parade. The line-up for the parade starts a half-an-hour before the parade and lasts up to 9 PM.
The channel NY1 is going to broadcast the “Village Halloween Parade” on live starting from 8 PM to 10 PM on the night of Halloween. It is even made available to stream it online on various platforms.
Webster Hill is the spot where everyone goes for the after-party and will have bumping tunes starting from 8 PM, and all the way to 4 AM in the hope of catching any late-night stragglers. The partygoer whose costume is the best in attendance will walk away with $5,000 in cash.
