Disney is all about making the classic shows with a new twist. We have some good news for Disney lovers! Apparently, Disney Channel is working on a sequel of Hocus Pocus.
Why This Sudden Reboot of The Classic?
Furthermore, Jen D’Angelo will soon pen down the script for the 1993 cult classic. The film Hocus Pocus was part of the speculation for quite some time now. The film was supposed to be remade in 2011. Then again, it was again supposed to be made into a television show in 2017. But then much to fans displeasure, the original cast was not considered.
What About The Original Content?
According to recent sources, D’ Angelo has been tasked with the work of reuniting the original Sanderson with sisters. His roles were played by known names like Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy. In 2015, Midler endorsed and talked about the need got another sequel for Hocus Pocus. He said in a light-hearted way that The film needs a sequel soon.
The classic film was all about the magic spell, and the three leading ladies surely did a wonderful job. The film brings back a time of nostalgia and how we were hooked to the plot! The original follows as the three switched tries to win back their powers, and when resurrected by a boy, they discover Halloween! The three witches were surely not happy about the new discovery and how their expertise we’re made fun of!
As of now, this news has gained considerable attention. No release date has been announced yet. Who all are going to be cast in the reboot is also a big question, although we would love to see the original cat, to be honest! The film was a cult classic, and we hope the reboot will also be as great as the original one!
