Disney+ has announced an inside look on some of their forthcoming documentaries based on Mickey Mouse, Marvels 616, Wolfman Puck, and Howard Ashman, at the exclusive streamer’s nonfiction showcase event hosted by International Documentary Association.
Disney+ announces its upcoming documentaries that will be launched in early 2020.
A documentary that is a tribute to Howard Ashman will be launched exclusively on Disney+ 2020, who passed away in 1991. He was the one who wrote many Oscar-winning lyrics for Disney such as Aladin, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid.
They have also announced to give a tribute to their iconic character- Mickey Mouse. The untitled documentary of Mickey Mouse from Won’t you Be my Neighbor, produced by Morgan Neville and directed by Jeff Malmberg. Disney+ revealed that they have focused on the iconic character Mickey mouse from where it all got started and what his cultural impacts says about each of them.
They will also launch the real-life stories of extraordinary people which includes Wolfgang Puck — directed by a co-founder of Supper Club, David Gelb. This exclusive documentary is created to take a close look at the life and work of a “Celebrity Chef” Wolfgang Puck.
Marvel’s 616, the already announced marvel documentary will be directed by actress Gillian Jacobs. These series will spotlight the innovative women of Marvel Comics. And the series will be available on the home for National Geographic Documentary Science Fair, and it will be available at launch.
