Sesame Street heads to HBO Max in 2020 With The Added New Series

The long-running children program is hopping from HBO network to HBO Max in spring 2020. Sesame Workshop, the non-profit media, and father of the kids & adults favorite show Sesame street sealed a deal with HBO Max with five new seasons. The news came out near the 50th anniversary of the educational tv series Sesame Street.

The new season will carry thirty-five episodes, and it will run for free on PBS Kids after its premiere.

Not only this, but it also features annual specials The Monster At The End Of This Show, which is the animated version of The Monster At The End Of This Book, which featured the Grover monster. It also starts a late-night talk show, The Not Too Late Show With Elmo.

There will be two new animated series, a spin-off of Sesame street, presumably called Mecha Builders, where sesame characters feature as animatic robots. Details about the second series have not been revealed yet now and will disclose later.

Chief content officer of HBO Max said “The scope of our partnership with Sesame Workshop is unprecedented. The beloved Sesame characters and these incredible new shows will be ambassadors for our service and the cornerstone of HBO’s Max extensive kids’ offering.”

On the other hand, Sesame Workshop’s president of media and education, Steve Youngwood is excited about this new partnership,” As we celebrate 50 years of Sesame Street and look to the future, we are thrilled to enter into this powerful partnership with HBO Max and their growing offering of best-in-class content.”

He added ” Producing this broad slate will help us on our mission to help kids everywhere grow smarter, stronger and kinder.”

The show has been entertaining and educating children around the world since 1969 and has now undergone some innovations in the series to reach global audiences and expand the educational experience.
