Universal Pictures has released a new international trailer for its upcoming romantic comedy Last Christmas. And we are sure it is all going to be magical witnessing the Christmas magic in London. The movie stars three times Emmy nominee, Emilia Clarke alongside Henry Golding. Emma Thompson and Michelle Yeoh are also there in the movie.
The movie is inspired by George Michael’s classic song ‘Last Christmas’. Emma Thompson has co-written the movie script with playwright Bryony Kimmings. She is also the producer along with David Livingstone. Looks like the movie is going to be a masterpiece of multi-taskers, as Emilia Clarke not only stars in the movie but also sings a new rendition of George Michael’s classic.
In the movie, Clarke plays the character of Kate, a young woman down on her luck. After a life-threatening medical emergency, Kate (Emilia) moves in with her mother (Emma Thompson). She finds work of an elf at a year-round holiday store owned by a formidable boss (Michelle Yeoh). As London begins taking up the Christmas magic, Kate runs into Tom (Henry Golding). Since then, things start to change in both their lives.
“Tom seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to see through so many of Kate’s barriers. As London transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, nothing should work for these two. But sometimes, you gotta let the snowfall where it may, you gotta listen to your heart … and you gotta have faith,” reads the synopsis of the movie.
The movie is directed by the Bridesmaids and the Ghostbusters Reboot director Paul Feig. It is all set to hit the theatres this year in November.
