The movie marks the latest directorial from the Russo brothers
After a long wait, the official trailer for The Gray Man, Netflix’s new spy thriller is out. In the action-packed trailer, we see Ryan Gosling as an elite assassin and Chris Evans as a former teammate-turned psychopath villain hell-bent on destroying him. Adapted from Mark Greaney’s novel of the same name, The Gray Man spent over a decade in development hell. It finally reached the hands of Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo.
Let’s delve deeper into the cast and trailer.
The Gray Man Trailer Events
In the trailer, we can see Gosling starring as Court Gentry, a mercenery who uncovers dark CIA secrets. But many other bounty hunters also want to get their hands on it, including his former colleague, Lloyd Hansen (Evans). Gentry goes on a run around the globe with enemies constantly at his heels, and that forms the rest of the story.
The Russos are no stranger to action, and like the Captain America and Avengers movies, has included many fights and car chases, accompanied with destruction. It’s also great to see Evans as the baddie, after 2019’s Knives Out. We can see that Evans thoroughly enjoys playing negative characters after playing Captain America for almost 10 years.
