Some people may leave us but, their memories stay with us in, our hearts. One such figure was the legendary R&B singer Aaliyah Dana Haughton who died in an airplane crash at a young age of 22. Her death was a shock for her fans, and family, it took everyone a long time to recover from this tragic loss. However, Madame Tussauds wax museum made a recent effort to make the star immortal.

The famous Madame Tussauds museum made a wax statue of R&B singer to make her immortal. The statue unveiled in Las Vegas on Wednesday just a few days before Aaliyah’s 18th death anniversary. The wax statue is a representation of her looks from the 2000s Try Again music video. The wax figure is wearing a silver bikini, black leather pants with a silver belt and a silver choker.
It took over one and a half years to make this statue.
Aaliyah’s family contribution
The wax statue is made, by a collaborative effort of Madame Tussauds museum and Aaliyah’s family. They collectively decided the wax pose and look. Aaliyah’s brother Rashad was a part of the statue reveal ceremony on Wednesday night. Rashad also said that the Tussauds museum supported him and his mother a lot in this emotional process. He also posed for a picture with her sister’s statue.
