Chris Hemsworth admits to feeling pressured for Thor 4 living up to the hype

The God of Thunder becomes the first MCU hero to get four solo movies

As March rolled out, we are less than a year away from getting Thor: Love and Thunder. The fourth movie starring Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder is currently in production and  see him team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy and Jane Foster’s (Natalie Portman) Mighty Thor.

As half of the original Phase One heroes have reached the end of their journeys with Avengers: Endgame, Thor is one of the few remaining ones, ans is now a greatly humbled individual compared to the proud god he once was. Following the success of Thor: Ragnarok and  Endgame, the pressure is getting to Chris Hemsworth.

Hemsworth’s GQ interview

Comic-Con

In a chat with GQ, the Aussie actor said that the pressure for Thor: Love and Thunder is the same, if not more. He said that there’s a little bit of exciting nervous energy that is motivating all of them to reach a little further and make sure they’re covering all the bases and approaching the scene from every angle.

The actor said that he always likes to stay out of his comfort zone and enjoys “looking for projects that scare the hell out of me (him).”

Thor’s evolution

Marvel Studios

Thor was treated by five directors in his ten year journey, and we got to see him journey across the nine realms, joining the Avengers on multiple occassions, and experiencing happiness and pain through it all. Hemsworth definitely got the treatment he had asked for, but his best was brought out by Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, who will be directing the next one as well.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be coming to theatres February 18, 2022.
