Killing Eve: The BBC’s Popular Comedy-drama to Bid Adieu in a Grand Way with Season 4

It’s time to say goodbye to Eve and Villanelle

A lot of good tv shows are coming to an end, and the BBC’s Killing Eve joins that list. The show was able to enamour the viewers quickly with its excitements, thrills, humour, and of course, the killings.

The announcement was given by BBC America on Tuesday morning that season 4 of Killing Eve is indeed, it’s final season. The series was renewed for a fourth season back in January 2020 but thr pandemic put a stop the production every time they tried to pick themselves back up. Now, it’s expected to begin sometime this summer.

But don’t be disheartened just yet, for AMC Networks and Sid Gentle Films Ltd, the companies behind Killing Eve, are currently developing spinoffs from the main series, trying to ensure that the world they created lives on.

In a statement, series star Sandra Oh said that  Killing Eve has been one of her greatest experiences, and that she’s looking forward to diving back into Eve’s remarkable mind soon. She expressed her gratitude to the cast and crew, as well ad the fans who had helped give the show the popularity that it enjoys currently, and said that they will be back for their exciting and unpredictable final season.

Her co-lead Jodie Comer also said that she’s grateful for the show, which had been her most extraordinary one, and while the show is ending, they aim to make this one to remeber.

The show’s first season was taken over by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who was also the head writer. She was followed by Promising Young Woman  director Emerald Fennel who directed season 2, followed by Suzanne Heathcote for season 3. The fourth season will be by Laura Neal.
