Brody Jenner, 35 and Kaitlynn Carter, 30 have called it quits.
MTV’s rebooted ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ star couple Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter have decided to end their year-long marriage.
The separation was confirmed by the couple’s reps who released a statement to E-News on August 2nd that Carter and Jenner have decided to get separated amicably. They love and respect each other, and believe that it’s the best decision for their relationship to move forward.
The Dream Wedding
The couple had met in 2013 at a party and have been together since then. After Jenner proposed to Carter in 2016, they got married in a lavish destination wedding on 2nd June 2018, in Indonesia at Nihi Sumba Resort. The wedding was an intimate affair and was attended by only family and friends of the couple.
Cracks in the wedding
The split hasn’t come as a surprise for many as cracks in the relationship were already apparent for some time now. The reality show in the past has featured Carter confronting Jenner over calling their marriage an open relationship and unwillingness to start a family with her. Addressing the issue, Brody had said during a premiere episode that he wants to live the way he wants, as opposed to living for another human being. And he thought that Carter wanted children to change him in that way.
Now that the separation is official, it’s also being said that the ex-couple might not have to go through divorce procedure as their marriage wasn’t legal as per America’s norms.
It is sad to see another marriage going kaput but we wish all the luck to them for their separate futures.
