Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to produce their own podcasts in Spotify

The couple have already signed a multimillion-dollar deal for setting up Archwell Audio

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have signed on a multimillion- dollar deal with Spotify and will be soon producing their own podcasts. The couple claimed on Tuesday that their program is something “that uplifts and entertains audiences around the world.”

Their podcast, Archwell Audio will first release a holiday special that will tell “stories of hope and compassion from inspirational guests in celebration of the new year,” and will be partnering up with Spotify’s Gimlet Studio, according to Page Six.

The first complete series from Archwell Audio and Spotify is expected to come out next year. Dawn Ostroff, the Chief Content and Advertising Business Officer at Spotify shared to Page Six that aside from hearing Meghan and Harry talk, they will also be bringing up other content creators and elevating them through the podcast.

Twitter users also got wind of the news and have started poking fun at the trailer for the podcast, calling it a “woke word salad.” One of the things that the trolls were laughing at the most was about how the couple had asked for privacy from the media, but with this podcast, they are launching themselves back into the spotlight once again.

Some of the comments included: ‘Hi guys, I’m Harry! And I’m Meghan. And we love our privacy. New podcast deal to uplift and entertain audiences around the world will defo amuse.” Another one said that they should’ve called the podcast “train-crash radio.” Many were also saying that being a royal couple, Harry and Meghan might not be the most relatable podcast hosts.
