Lili Reinhart became a known name after her portrayal of Betty Cooper in CW’s Riverdale, based on characters from the Archie Comics. She used to date Cole Sprouse, her co-star from the show until the couple broke up earlier this year. And later in June, Lili came out as bisexual.

She put out a story on Instagram in a protest of LGBTQ for the Black Lives Matter movement, and in it she said, “Although I’ve never announced it publicly, I am a proud bisexual woman. And I will be joining this protest today. Come join.” This was the first time when her fans came to know about her sexuality. But why didn’t she say earlier?

Here’s the reason why
Lili revealed why she didn’t come out earlier during an interview. She said that she had always been in heterosexual relationships and that coming out as bisexual might seem fake to the people and media, and could make them think that she was doing so to get attention. She decided to reveal it after her breakup with Cole.

She also made it clear that everyone in her close circle knew about her sexuality. She said that her friends were kind enough to keep quiet about it until she came out. She said that her bisexuality had been “no secret” in front of them.

Lili revealed that she had been very aware of being bisexual from a young age, after getting attracted to both men and women. She also spoke about the role she played in the Black Lives Matter protest and how she could do something new instead of reposting what everyone else was posting, so she decided that the time was right.
