Best Thor movie yet?
Early reactions for Thor: Love and Thunder is out, and the movie is everything fans hoped. The God of Thunder’s fourth film had its world premiere on Thursday, and a lot of early reviews have started coming in. Without diving into spoilers, let’s take a look at how the movie fared.
Thor: Love & Thunder Reactions
Thor: Love and Thunder becomes the second movie which was directed by Taika Waititi. This time, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) has to face off against Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who is on a sole mission to kill every god in the galaxy. But Thor finds backup in the form of Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who also wields the power of Thor. Additional characters include Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Waititi), and the Guardians of the Galaxy, such as Christ Pratt, Dave Bautista, and Pom Klementieff.
As for the reviews, Thor: Love and Thunder is being called a “Classic Thor adventure.” The movie is big, colorful, with battles scored with Guns N’ Roses songs. Of course, the title is not for vain, as it contains a hopeless romantic story about finding love in unexpected places. Some others say that Waititi makes up for Ragnarok‘s jokes by delivering a heartfelt movie. Of course. Thor: Love and Thunder also has jokes, but the story at the center is emotional, something Phase 4 marvel has held up in all their movies and shows.
Special Performances
We already know who will be ranked first here. Christian Bale makes his MCU debut and gave a top-tier performance as Gorr. Natalie Portman truly shines in her third outing as Jane, and special mention goes to Russel Crowe as Zeus. And finally, Chris Hemsworth continues to prove why he is still a jewel in Marvel’s crown with his humorous and heartfelt rendition of Thor.
Thor: Love and Thunder will be out worldwide on July 7.
