Taylor Swift’s Anti-Hero from Midnight album shows some glimpse from her past music videos

After All Too Well, Taylor Swift is Back at Creating Her Own Music Videos

On Friday Morning Taylor Swift released her Third Track Anti-Hero from the Album “Midnight”, in the music video you can see Taylor’s Ghost and her funeral, the Music video is written and directed by Taylor Swift.

The video starts with Swift eating her breakfast and suddenly clock strikes to the midnight, where she is followed by “the Ghosts of her past” the ghosts represents her past music videos as one of them wears hat which was her self-debuted country album and floral sunglasses, and cat ears refers to her original music video “22”.

Taylor’s Glitzy alter Ego

While running from the ghosts Taylor meet the other Taylor, which is her Glitzy alter ego. Who tries to give her reality check, by telling her that “Everyone will betray you”, as she steps on a scale she reads “Fat”, which is Swifts personal experience with her Body image in people’s eye.

Taylor showed many incidents from her past in the Anti-hero video, video ends with her own funeral where she comes outside from her coffin and watches her bratty kids fighting over her estate, she walks out from funeral and the video finishes with Taylor drinking with the other two Taylors.

“Anti-Hero” from Midnight

Anti-Hero (Midnight) is Swift’s one favorite songs she has Written, the song showed her insecurities and fears from life, the funeral scene her sons and Daughter in law are portrayed by John Early, Mike Birbiglia and Mary Elizabeth Ellis.

Before releasing the song, Taylor shared series of video on her social media account, where she discussed and explained the meaning behind the songs from her New Album “Midnight”. Midnight is Taylor’s tenth studio album, it consists of 13 songs, four songs have been released and the remaining ones will be released in few days.
