In a statement by the company, Sasha Banks and Naomi had left their championship titles in the desk of John Laurinaitis, the WWE Head of Talent Relations. They spoke about not being respected as the women’s tag team champions, and walked out.

WWE was all set to begin a Six-Pack Challenge for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship when the duo walked out. Commentator Corey Graves called out Banks and Naomi, saying they had unprofessionally left the arena. But there is a chance that this could be part of the storyline, given that Graves and Banks have been arguing for a long time.

WWE additionally added that they had eight hours to rehearse and construct their match. However, they claimed about having trouble with their opponents, even though they had fought in the past. As Monday Night Raw is a scripted show, the characters are meant to abide by their contracts.

Ahead of Monday’s Raw, Banks had taken issue with how the event was going to happen. She requested a meeting with CEO Vince McMahon, and was given permission. However, when Vince wouldn’t agree to her decisions, she walked out, with Naomi following suit. This was a disadvantage to Naomi since she was meant to be the new No. 1 Contender.
