The new members is the Nightmare Hunter Shion Zaiden
A new trailer for RWBY: Ice Queendom is out, and with that comes a new character. The new trailer reveals a bit more about the story inspired from the popular web series. RWBY: Ice Queendom is inspired from the series from Rooster Teeth, and takes place in the world of Remnant. The world is teeming with monsters named Grimms, but special fighters named Huntresses fight against them. The main characters are four teenage girls named Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long, and the official name is an acronym of their first letters. Its immense success spawned a manga adaptation, multiple video games, and even crossover series. But now, let’s look at the new trailer.
RWBY: Ice Queendom New Trailer And Character
The new trailer opens with its new entrant – Nightmare Hunter Shion Zaiden. We also see her talking about a new type of Grimm that can possess humans, and trap them within their own dreams. Her magical staff, and the fact that she calls herself a Nightmare Hunter means Shion can access the dreams of possessed individuals and free them from these Grimms. She will seems to be acting as a mentor for the four lead characters. We also got to see the characters sharing their dreams and fighting against Grimms, and the animation is crisp and clear.

RWBY: Ice Queendom is directed by Toshimasa Suzuki, who had previously helmed Fafner: Heaven and Earth and Lagrange – The Flower of Rin-ne. The show’s opening theme “Beyond Selves” has been performed by Void_Chords Feat. L, and Saori Hayami, the voice actor for Ruby Rose, has performed the ending theme “Awake.”
RWBY: Ice Queendom will be out on July 3 on Crunchyroll and Rooster Teeth. Crunchyroll also has a special preview of its first three episodes.
