Upcoming Pokémon related announcements will be revealed in a 14-minute video
Pokémon Day is near, and the Pokémon Company is going all out in celebration. They have now announced that a weekend update about a new Pokémon Presents livestream will air on February 26th at 6 AM PT/ 9 AM ET.
The franchise’s Japanese Twitter handle also confirmed the news. They further added that the livestream will be on the Pokémon YouTube channel.
The expected announcements
After hearing the news, Pokémon enthusiasts started speculating what the big reveals will be. Most previously-announced anime and games have come out, so this can be something new. But there are some new games that are yet to reveal a sneak peek. This includes a sequel to the 3DS adventure title Detective Pikachu. There is also the ninth generation of the core Pokémon series, that comes after 2019’s Sword and Shield.
During the franchise’s 25th anniversary last year, they made many new announcements. This included the remaster of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and a new version of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Arceus came out just a month ago, and was a major success.
Week-long announcement
The Pokémon Company does not plan to limit everything to a single day. In fact, they told fans to expect a week of announcements leading up to February 27. The Pokémon merch store has revealed some new items this week. This includes the custom skateboards with decals of Mew and Gyrados. They also released a new update for Arceus.
Last year’s celebrations were bigger than ever, with new events for Pokémon Go and Pokémon Sword and Shield. Get ready for something exciting to arrive.
