Megan Thee Stallion was fired at by rapper Tory Lanez
American music sensation Megan Thee Stallion has now spoken about the time she got shot at. In a chat with CBS Mornings‘ Gayle King, the rapper shared her horrific experience. Read on to find out more.
Meghan Thee Stallion Shooting Experience
The incident took place in July 2020. Megan said she was leaving a Hollywood Hills house party when things went south real fast. She said that she wanted to leave the party sooner than her friends but it started an argument. She left the party with Canadian rapper Tory Lanez and another friend. They got into a car, and that’s when the argument took place. It escalated and Megan ended up getting out of the car.
Megan Thee Stallion clarified that it was a simple argument, and she got out so that they can go without her. But suddenly she hears a man screaming. He says, “Dance, b***h” and started shooting. She said he shot a couple of rounds and remember being so scared. She continued that she had no clue if he was aiming at her or away, but was really afraid that he will kill her.
Megan clarified again that she did not assault or raise her voice at anyone. It was just one of those incidents that should never have escalated so much.
Lanez’s Charges
After the alleged shooting, Lanez got charged with felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm, as well as a charge for carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm. Next, he got charged for inflicting bodily injury to Megan. Megan had to seek a doctor to remove shrapnel from her left foot. If convicted, he faces jail time of up to 22 years.
