Kanye West claims ‘asphyxiation’ not the cause of George Floyd’s death

Kanye West is seen to be digging the past of George Floyd

George Floyd who died on May 25 with a mysteries event, his case is refreshed after Kanye West was seen to be talking about his death. According to the reports, the doctors claim that he died to lack of oxygen which was not accepted by many blacks and also led to Black lives Moment. Kanye West was also seen to be donating $2 million to Black resistance causes and he also started a college fund for George Floyd’s six-year-old daughter, Gianna Floyd, following a week of protests across the nation for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Kanye West’s Words

American Rapper and fashion designer Kanye West during a podcast at the Drink Champs was seen saying that George Floyd did not die of suffocation. He claimed that Floyd died from fentanyl and the police officer’s knee was “not even on his neck”.

George Floyd was found to be suffering from chronic pain and addiction to opiate-based painkillers. On May 25, 2020, after the arrest, Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was seen knelting on Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes while it was handcuffed to his stomach, another officer, Alexander Kueng, knelt on Floyd’s back and a third, Tou Thao, warned bystanders not to get too close. This incident was captured on video and went viral.

Protests by the citizen

This incident led to protests and riots in the United States and abroad. People took stand for him and after the reinvestigation Chauvin was found guilty of attempting second-degree murder last year and sentenced to 22-and-a-half years on state charges.

Kueng, Thao and another officer, Thomas Lane, were also pulled to the US federal court in February for violating Floyd’s civil rights. Kueng was sentenced to three years in prison, Thao to three and a half years and Lane was sentenced to two and a half years.
