The infamous singing reality show of American Idol is created by Simon Fuller and is produced by Fremantle USA and 19 Entertainment. Fox hosted the premiere of the show on June 11, 2003. The show was aired on the channel for 15 years, till April 7, 2016, but changed hands from March 11, 2018. Now the show is telecasted on ABC. “Unparalleled in broadcasting history” is how the show has been rated. From the year 2003-04 till 2010-2011, the show maintained the No. 1 rank in U.S television ratings. Over the seasons, the judges’ panel experienced a broad change of faces like Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick. The sixteenth season of the show, hosted by ABC, had Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan as the judges.

The show put had up all the relevant details about the audition on social media last week. Colombia is one amongst the 22 locations selected to conduct the auditions. The selection crew is hitting the grounds of Colombia on August 26, 2019, Monday. The location has been set at the pesticides Alumni Center located at 900 Senate street. The interested ones can even opt for online registrations. The participants are required to fill up a story form and sign a release form. The age group of the contestants must be within 15-28 years of age.
