With the manga finished, why is there no further announcement for Haikyuu!!
Haikyuu!! debuted in 2012, and the official anime came out in 2014. The anime went on to become one of the best adaptations and has a massive fanbase to this day. We got to see Hinata Shoyo and Kageyama Tobio join major leagues and represent their high school Karasuno in national championships. As the series progressed, we got to see beautiful friendships and thrilling matches take flight. However, we have not received any news about the next season, and social media users are expressing their anger over it.
Season 4 ending
Haikyuu!! story mainly focuses on Hinata, a small, but determined boy who wants to become the greatest volleyball player. We got to see Hinata succeed, fail, make friends, and create rivals in the four seasons.
Season 4 part 2 had Karasuno face one of their toughest games yet as they face Inarizaki High School. However, they ended up with a victory in the 11th episode. The finale explored the aftermath of the gruelling match. Season 4 also debuted a new animation style, and while some fans criticized at the start, everyone got used to it thanks to the exciting story,

Twitter is of course, the most vocal platform and they started clamouring for a fifth season to wrap up the story. It would be criminal to end the story with season 4, and we will definitely get season 5 soon. Production I.G. wrapped up the story in December 2020, but have been quiet ever since. Season 4 was announced via Jump Fest 2019, so we can hope that any update will be given in similar fashion.
We have to wait till season 5 to know how the gang’s final match ends up, or whether Hinata will meet his idol, “The Little Giant.”
