BTS is ‘Dynamiting’ all the way to the top
BTS has hit another milestone this week after their global hit ‘Dynamite‘ landed on Apple Music’s annual Top 100 charts at the number one spot. It was a wonder to see the song, which was released in 2020, still being ahead of all the 2021 songs.
Apple Music described the song as a “K-pop juggernaut primed for planetary domination” and added that the song brought some much-needed comfort and catharsis to listeners at a time when they needed it the most.
‘Dynamite‘ was released on August 21, 2020, and currently sits at a staggering 1.3 billion views on YouTube, and the numbers are steadily climbing with hundreds of thousands of fans tuning in to listen to the vibrant, and high-spirited single every day. BTS continues to rule the music world by storm as their recent single ‘Butter’ was also spotted at the 21st position.
That’s not all ‘Dynamite’ has achieved. Back in September, the song appeared in the 346th spot on Rolling Stone’s ‘500 Greatest Songs Of All Time’ list. The boy band was praised by the magazine for making the Korean music industry stand out.
Reunion with Megan Thee Stallion
BTS had planned to perform with rapper Megan Thee Stallion during the AMAs, but the plan was changed when she had to drop out of the awards function due to a personal emergency. Megan had tweeted that she can’t wait to collaborate with them on stage, and now, it has happened. They were able to perform together at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 28, to a remixed version of ‘Butter.’
Other songs that were featured in the top 5 of Apple Music’s chart was Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License”, Ariana Grande’s “Positions,” Pop Smoke’s “For the Night” and The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.”
