BTS is No Longer a Part of 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards Amidst Creating New Records!

BTS is still preparing something for their fans

According to latest reports, BTS will not be performing or attending the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2021 (MAMA).

Two reasons are cited for their unavailability – The new quarantine restrictions caused by the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, and scheduling conflicts.

What can they do?

The new quarantine restrictions will take effect from December 3, and overseas travelers arriving in Korea will have to quarantine for ten days. That means BTS – comprising of RM, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, Jungkook, and V will not be able to make it for the MAMA which will be held on December 11th. They are currently preparing for the 2021 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour held at Los Angeles on December 3. 2020’s MAMA was a big day for BTS after they managed to win 9 different awards, and also got to perform ‘On,’ ‘Dynamite,’ and ‘Life Goes On.’

Their representative from MAMA added that it will be difficult for them to prepare a pre-recorded performance as well. But knowing that the ARMY will be disappointed, the Bangtan Boys are preparing a short video for them.

However, the representative signed off with a bit of optimism, saying that they are keeping an eye out for the situation and will inform of any changes.
