Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé got tested, even though they were not in Lisa’s close contacts
BLACKPINK started trending last night after their agency YG Entertainment shared a statement saying Lisa has tested positive for COVID-19. At the time, news regarding her group members Jisoo, Rosé, and Jennie’s test results were unknown, but they are now revealed to be negative.
In YG’s official statement, it read that the LALISA singer was diagnosed with the coronavirus on the afternoon of November 24. While the other three members were not in her close contact list, they still received PCR tests immediately, and got negative results. Lisa is currently not displaying any symptoms and is in a good state.
YG Entertainment also mentioned that they shared all the necessary information quickly, and even took pre-emptive measures that went above the guidelines that health authorities mandated. They shared that all the BLACKPINK members had been vaccinated, and the idols and staff members in the agency continually took pre-emptive tests to make sure they are not carrying or spreading the virus. They will be cooperating with the health department’s epidemiological investigations to prevent further spread. Lisa was also wished a quick recovery.
YG Entertainment also mentioned that Lisa had scheduled to shoot for a video before getting tested. That will now be getting pushed to a later date. The singer had been flying solo for a while, with her new album release, as well as collaborations with international stars like DJ Snake and Meghan Thee Stallion.
But the gang did reunite in South Korea after their trips to Paris and the USA, and posted selfies on their official Instagram stories. This gave speculation that they are looking to make their comeback.
