Billy Ray Cyrus has moved on.
The country singer and his ex Tish Cyrus, who had been married for 28 years, announced their separation in April. He is now dating Australian singer-songwriter Firerose, with the news being confirmed by a Cyrus family member in September.

The source added that Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerorse, who has not revealed her actual name yet, have been dating for a while. They got close while working on new music together. The source made sure to add that he and Tish were fully over before he moved on.
What’s more, the couple even seems to be engaged presently. A photo of Firerose wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger seemed to suggest that. However, reps for Billy Ray Cyrus did not comment when PEOPLE Magazine reached out. This might seem like a huge surprise, seeing as they began dating sometime after April. The couple seemingly confirmed their relationship in August this year, when she wished him on his birthday. However, Firerose has uploaded photos with Billy Ray on Instagram since August 2021, when they performed “New Day” on Live with Kelly and Ryan.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish were a beloved couple until Tish filed for divorce in April, citing “irreconcilable differences.” She added that they had not been living together for more than two years. In their 28-year-long marriage, they had separated three times. They are parents to five children: sons Trace, 33, and Braison, 28, and daughters Brandi, 35, Miley, 29, and Noah, 22.
Billy Ray had filed for divorce in 2010 and revoked it less than six months after. He said in The View that he wanted to put the family back together.
