No, this is not a prank

The singer had caught fans’ attention when she removed the profile pictures from all social media accounts. Fans in turn, started looking out for any updates. Then a short while ago, Bey changed her Instagram and Twitter bios to ‘act i, RENAISSANCE, 7.29.’ The fact that ‘Act I’ is present means her project is split into different parts, and more will follow Renaissance. Shortly after, music platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Tidal started spreading the news.

The new album calls for extra celebration since it has been six years since Beyoncé dropped her sixth album. Her sixth album Lemonade was completely experimental, and infused pop, rock, reggae, and R&B. Bey delivered successes like “Formation,” “Sorry,” and sang about husband Jay Z’s infidelity and Black excellence. Word of the seventh album being in the works got out a year ago, but nobody expected it to arrive so soon.

Back in August 2021, the singer said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that she feels a renaissance is emerging, after all the isolation and injustice that’s been happening in this world. She added that she had been in the studio for a year and a half.

According to Metro, the new album will be about Beyoncé finding peace in her marriage to Jay Z and the world. So, are you all ready for Act I: Renaissance?
