Bella Hadid confesses about her mental health struggles
When you look at the modelling industry from the outside, it all just looks very glittery and glam with high end designers, shoots, stunning outfits, runway shows, etc. But there is a dark side to this multibillion-dollar industry as well which can be only by those who have lived that life.
Supermodel Bella Hadid recently opened up about her mental health and the struggles she has been going through to WSJ Magazine for their “My Monday Morning” series.
The 25-year-old model was pretty candid while talking about her mental health issues and how she deals with it.
Bella on putting herself together every morning
When being asked about her secret to putting together a stunning outfit every morning, Hadid said that it’s been almost 2 years since she had a stylist and she struggled to dress up and get out of her house because of the state she was in mentally. She faced this constant anxiety with the paparazzi being outside and snapping pictures of her when she was feeling low.
Bella further revealed that she is slowly but surely learning to deal with her mental health issues. She now tries to embrace her sense of style in a way which makes her feel happy and comfortable, even though it might not please everyone else.
Bella Hadid reflects on the superficial nature of social media
The supermodel confessed that she was never able to explain the “Excruciating and Debilitating” mental and physical pain she was in and she couldn’t figure out the reason behind it.
Referring to the series of crying selfies she shared on Instagram, Hadid said that things always look beautiful on Instagram but it wasn’t always like that. She wanted to spealk her truth and reach out to others to let them know that it was okay to feel like that.
Bella Hadid concluded by saying that she is in a much better state at present and her anxiety has reduced significantly . The supermodel has her good days and bad days but being real is what’s important to her.
