Based on 2003 acclaimed Comic by writer Mark Millar and artists Dave Johnson and Killian Plunkett, Red Son narrates a tale of the alternate universe where Red Son is an asset for the Soviet Union instead of America. Being the Soviet superhero, he ultimately becomes a symbol of Soviet values such as communism and expansionism. The trailer that promises to reignite the same thrill in fans and retell the story with equal fervour, starts with Superman’s rocket bundled up in a ball of fire, comes crashing down straight into a town of Soviet. He is still the protector but with different ideologies and methods. Fans will also get to witness the classic Russian accent in this version. This version also provides a glimpse of the caped crusader, Batman, but he isn’t fighting the crime, he is rather a lonely rebellion against the Soviet forces who eliminated his parents.
