Evangeline Lilly Asked Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau For A Peace Talk with Protestors
Ant-Man actress Evangeline Lilly called Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau asking for a talk with vaccine mandates protestors.
The past few weeks have been tough for Canada as truck protesters took to the streets demanding the lifting of the ban. While the country is trying its best to bring peace to both sides, many influential people are also voicing their support.
Lately, Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly, 42, released a video in which she was seen urging PM Trudeau to talk with the protestors.
She started the video addressing ‘Dear Prime Minister’, and continued further saying she wanted to speak about approaches taken by PM towards Canadians vaccine mandates protestors. Lilly said they asked to meet you, scientists, medical experts, nurses, doctors, parents, concerned citizens. She further asked why he didn’t want to meet and talk to his people.
The video was released on Bridge City News’s social media handle.
The 42-year-old actress said that before sitting and listening to millions of people across the country fulfilling their needs. Ask them their problems and listen to them with an open mind and heart. Because finding solutions together can only end problems, not running against each other. Right now we need a leadership that believes in unity and is ready to listen, sees, and recognize people sitting outside in the cold.
The Demonstrations
It’s now been three weeks since protests were taking place in the streets of Canada. Labelled as the ‘Freedom Convoy’ by the particular group, they fight against the vaccine mandate. The protests began as a neutral anti-vaccine protest with the highest vaccine rates in the country, becoming the voice of a larger protest over how PM Trudeau failed to effectively handle the pandemic.
Evangeline Lilly last appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp, known best for her role of Hope Pym.
