Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ Teaser: Jenna Ortega Makes Addams Family Debut, With Tim Burton On Board

Jenna Ortega makes an impressive debut

Netflix has released the teaser for Wednesday, an all-new show focusing on the famous daughter of the spooky Addams Family. The show stars Jenna Ortega in the titular role. Ortega is best-known for her roles in You and Scream 5. Let’s read more about the character and the show below.

About Wednesday

While the teaser is just an introduction to Wednesday and the disembodied hand servant (played by Victor Dorobantu), we do know the synopsis. Wednesday has the character attending a boarding school named Nevermore Academy, the place where she starts developing psychic powers. But soon enough, things start going sideways and she has to investigate a series of supernatural murders. Things turn extra sour when her own family’s history is thrown into the mix.

It is clear that Netflix is taking a dark turn with the series, and not the spooky sitcom most of watched, from 1991. Christina Ricci played the character, both in the show and the movies that followed, and brought major recognition to the character. Out of all the members in the Addams household, Wednesday was the most sweet-natured. It is yet to be seen how she will be depicted by Ortega.
