Heart-warming Tributes Pour in for the Former England and Liverpool Goalkeeper Ray Clemence as He Passes Away at 72

One of the best and amazing goalkeeper during his time, Ray Clemence died at the age of 72 on 15th of November,2020. His full name was Raymond Neal Clemence. Born on 5th of August, 1948, Ray was active till 1988. Moreover, Raymond was among the only 29 players who have made 1000 appearances in his career. His club career, international career and coaching career have been an amazing journey of his life. Whenever Raymond has played he has always played it remarkably.

Raymond’s death was very shocking for his fans but they were sort of prepared as he was suffering with prostate cancer since 15 years.

Liverpool also payed condolences on the death of legend. They said that it is sad that the legend is no more between us. Liverpool also prayed for the family and friends of legend.

Anyways, in 2005, Ray came out and said that he is suffering from prostate cancer and from now on will spend time away from the England squad. Moreover, Ray was the second member of Eriksson’s staff who was diagnosed with the prostate cancer. Before Ray, Brian was also diagnosed with the same disease.

Raymond has done a lot for Liverpool club and has also won numerous Honors in his career

He has won football league first division 5 times in his whole career. Raymond has also won cups like FA Cup, League Cup, FA Charity Shield, European Cup, UEFA Cup and European Super Cup. He has also won FA Cup, FA Charity Shield and UEFA Cup under Tottenham Hotspur.

After a respectful retirement, Ray joined the coaching staff at Spurs and then became a joint member of Barnet. He was also recruited by Spurs as a goalkeeper coach.

Above all, Raymond was a very talented goalkeeper of his time. He deserves the peace and prayers.
