World War Z 2: Everything That We Know So Far!

It seems like World War Z 2 is dead, but it took some time for the first film to be made. we can’t rule out the possibility of the sequel of the zombie movie.

About World War Z

World War Z is a 2013 action horror movie which directed by Marc Forster. It is based on the 2006 novel bearing the same name written by Max Brooks. The film features Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, a former United Nations investigator. In the movie, Gerry travels the world to find a way to stop a zombie pandemic.

Initially, the movie was set for premiere in December 2012 but the production suffered some setbacks. In June 2012, the film’s release date was pushed back, and the crew returned to Budapest for 7 weeks of additional shooting. Damon Lindelof was hired to rewrite the third act, but he did not have time to finish the script. Then Drew Goddard was hired to rewrite it. The reshoots for World War Z took place between September and October 2012.

World War Z was released on June 3, 2013, in London. The film was premiered in New York, and Los Angeles on June 14, 2013, and world premiere was on June 21, 2013. The film received a positive response from the critics for Brad Pitt’s performance in the movie and as a realistic revival of the zombie genre but it also received certain criticism for the anti-climax and outdated CGI. The movie bagged over $540 million against a production budget of $190 million and is now the highest-grossing zombie film of all time. A sequel of the film was announced shortly after the film’s release, but in February 2019 it was cancelled due to budget issues.

As of now World War Z 2 is not happening, but there is also some possibility for the film to come in the future.
