‘Only Lover’s Left’ credited South Korean singer-songwriter Cho Seung-youn, stage name ‘WOODZ’ diagnosed with COVID-19 as per the announcement on February 21. In addition, at first, his agency Yuehua Entertainment asked him to go for PCR test after witnessing some symptoms. Later, the results came out positive.

He is a famous vocalist who rose to fame with boy band ‘Uniq’. However, after disband, he debuted as soloist through hip-hop single “Recipe” under the name of Luizy. Then, with time, he changed his stage name to ‘WOODZ’.

WOODZ halted his schedule after testing positive

The agency announced the sad news through official fan café. Seeing the concerning situation, they cancelled the much-awaited appearance in SBS Power FM radio show “Wendy’s Young Street”.

Following, they also delayed many programs as well as cancelled some special appearances for the time being. However, he is now only suffering from some mild cold symptoms and a mild fever. So, he is staying in self-quarantine at his place for treatment. They are following proper steps and rest as advised by the disease control authorities to prevent further complications.

The journey from Cho Seung-youn to WOODZ is quite tangled. He initially stepped into K-POP industry with South Korean-Chinese idol group ‘Uniq’, later, after passing many levels through Produce X101 survival show, X1 band, he launched himself as K-POP soloist ‘WOODZ’ in 2020. The first album he released under this name was ‘Equal’ with “Love Me Harder” as the title track. Moreover, “MIA” ft. CAMO, WOODZ is the latest work released under artist name GEMINI. Yet, his upcoming works are still under wraps.
