Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey Releases New Ominous Poster

Definitely not a bedtime story

The mysterious and bizarre horror production Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is back on the news again after the makers released an official poster. We got news about the horror movie back in May, showing the beloved Pooh and Piglet wielding bloody sledgehammers instead of jars of honey. Let’s now take a look at the poster.

The poster shows Pooh (Craig David Dowsett) looming large holding his signature bloody sledgehammer while Piglet is shown standing menacingly over a victim while holding a knife. The location looks like the woods, with snow around (the 100-acre Wood maybe?). The official tagline reads “This ain’t no bedtime story”, a hint that the movie is absolutely not suitable for children.

Aside from that, we have received some new story details as well. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is not just about two ruthless and possibly deranged serial killers. Rhys Waterfield, the movie’s director, and writer said in an interview with Variety that the movie will also explore themes of abandonment. The story takes place after Christopher Robin (Nikolei Leon) goes to college, leaving his friends Pooh and Piglet behind. Instead of chasing honey and having little adventures, the two return to their wild and feral roots and develop a taste for blood and gore.

The movie was shot just for 10 days on location in England and is produced by Jagged Edge Productions, run by Waterfield and co-producer Scott Jeffrey. Waterfield reminds audiences not to get a Hollywood-level production.

A release date is yet to be announced, but Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey has managed to catch the attention of netizens, and even Disney.
